French restaurateur arrested in Michigan on suspicion of murder, faces extradition

The authorities in Michigan have arrested and a 51-year-old restaurateur who fled France after murdering his boyfriend in 1996 for mistreating his dog and burying him in the basement of a Paris restaurant.Details are contained in an extradition complaint that was filed against Venancio Claudio, who has dual French and Portuguese citizenship, on behalf of the authorities in France at the U. S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan on July 20, 2005.
